The Woombah Girls: Jo-Anne Minnis, Chris Sampson, and Gaille Blackwell
Three women from Woombah are our feature artists for the month of September: Jo-Anne Minnis, Chris Sampson, Gaille Blackwell.
Jo-Anne Minnis: "I have been doing art for approximately 7 years. I belong to the U3A Iluka/Woombah Art Group and my specialty is mixed media, watercolours, pen and ink (alcohol and acrylic). I get a lot of enjoyment and have fun experimenting with different techniques. Hope you enjoy my style!"
Chris Sampson: "Having dabbled in arts and crafts for most of my life, it was only natural that after moving to the area I joined the U3A Iluka/Woombah Art Group. It has fulfilled my desire to improve. I have tried various mediums but have found my passion with a pen, watercolours, and mixed media. I do a variety of works as the mood takes. Hope you enjoy my art."
Gaille Blackwell: "I had scribbled, drawn and painted all my life until the late 80s, when I took up clay and spent the next 25 years as a potter. Then I left it all behind 10 years ago and moved to Woombah! I joined the local U3A Art group. It's brought me back to creating with paints and now I enjoy experimenting with many different mediums.
