I like to find fun and functional vintage design for every day use, re-using what we already have in this world. In my ancestral Hungarian, Semmi sem roughly translates to “A little bit of nothing, a little bit of something.” In the pink room you'll find hand-picked vintage and designer clothing in natural fibres, coloured glassware, kitchenware, art books, & more.
My Story
As a child I was constantly dragged around to markets and antique fairs – a rich tapestry for a small brain. It really sparked my interest in all the beautiful, strange things people have created for beauty or for function over time. Objects tell us a lot about our society and environment. They’re bound up in our identity and built world, and I still find this endlessly fascinating, just as I did as a child.
As an object and history lover I completed a Master of Museum Studies at Sydney University, have worked in bookstores, galleries and collections, where I learnt a great deal and got to handle works by some of Australia’s most celebrated artisans and photographers.
